Health Services

The Idaho Department of Correction Health Services is responsible for the management and monitoring of the state medical contract as well as oversight of medical care for state offenders who are housed in county jails. Health Services staff conducts audits that measure contract compliance at all of the state’s prison facilities including the privately run Correctional Alternative Placement Program (CAPP). Health Services also reviews all offender concern forms and grievances on a monthly basis as well as responds to offender and offender family concerns and questions.
