High risk fugitive surrenders
BOISE, August 26, 2011 – A high risk fugitive, sought by the Idaho Department of Correction for almost one month, has turned himself in at the Ada County Jail.
Jesse L. Walker, IDOC #73295, surrendered about 3 a.m. He was declared a fugitive on July 28 when he failed to check in with his parole officer.
“This case had the potential to be a very dangerous and high risk arrest,” said IDOC Operations Division Chief Kevin Kempf. “This was the best outcome for everyone; Mr. Walker included.”
Walker’s criminal record includes aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm and possession and delivery of a controlled substance. The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole will now decide if Walker will be sent back to prison. He also faces the possibility of new charges.
