Idaho moves 120 more inmates to Colorado

BOISE, September 21, 2012 – The Idaho Department of Correction has completed the transfer of 120 more inmates from Idaho to Colorado to ease population pressure in Idaho’s prisons and jails.

The inmates were transported aboard buses in four groups over the past two weeks. The transfers bring to 250 the number of Idaho inmates who are now incarcerated at Kit Carson Correctional Center in Burlington, Colo.

KCCC is a medium security prison. It is owned and operated by Corrections Corporation of America.
