The Department of Correction manages approximately 20,000 offenders in the state of Idaho. |

Ancillary Programs are designed to augment the Core Programs and address the diversity of offenders’ needs. They keep the offender actively involved, enhance an offender’s ability to participate meaningfully in other Programs, and meet special needs identified in an offender’s individual program plan. They are not research based. COMMUNITY LIVING MODEL PROGRAM (Living/Management style): A system of offender management and institutional process based on social learning. It functions through offenders participating in the process of holding each other and themselves accountable, and cooperating towards achieving a safe environment and pro-social offender change. Correctional staff maintain overall control, manage the entire process, and function as role models. Duration: On going; Recommended group Size: 8-15; 1 Facilitator MONEY MANAGEMENT GROUP (Financial Domain): Explores the connection between money management and relapse. Topics discussed are spending, investing, and saving. Duration: 6 sessions 12 hrs; Recommended group Size: 8-15; 1 Facilitator TOASTMASTERS (Support Activity): A non-profit organization
developing public speaking and leadership skills through practice and
feedback in local clubs since 1924. Duration: On going as needed; Recommended
group Size: 8-15; 1 Facilitator |
