SEX OFFENDER AFTERCARE GROUP: Offenders are referred to group after they have completed a structured treatment program. Group topics cover a wide range, including current life situations, inappropriate thoughts, feelings or fantasies and how to deal with them in a healthy way, decision making skills, issues related to the original crime, laws, rules and regulations pertaining to sex offenders, relapse prevention, and building healthy life skills. SEX OFFENDER PRE-TREATMENT: Sex offender specific, cognitive behavioral programs that are consistent with the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Treatment is facilitated by or supervised by a clinical member of ATSA. SEX OFFENDER COGNITIVE SELF-CHANGE: Sex offender specific, cognitive behavioral group programs, facilitated by a clinician or social worker, that prepare an offender for treatment in the community. |
