The Department of Correction manages approximately 20,000 offenders in the state of Idaho.

   Introduction

The Speaker’s Bureau offers groups across Idaho insight into the criminal justice system. This service is invaluable and free. Department professionals can speak on a variety of topics including: a basic overview of corrections in Idaho and the current philosophy of the department as well as expertise on sex offenders, education behind bars, transitioning inmates to communities successfully, corrections in communities, and information on employing offenders.

 Who We Serve

The Idaho Department of Correction provides Speaker’s for community groups. Our goal is to share information and increase the community understanding of corrections. Not all topic experts are available in all parts of the state, but the department will work to provide a speaker to fit your needs. Please allow at least two weeks advance notice.
