Community Reentry Centers
Community Reentry Center Overview
The Probation and Parole Division oversees the operations for five community reentry centers throughout the state. Community reentry centers staff includes a manager, correctional officers, psychosocial rehabilitation specialists, programming staff and administrative support staff. If you have questions or concerns about a specific center, please contact the reentry center manager.
A Transition Into the Community
As part of its mission to better protect and prepare residents for positive transition into the community, the department supervises felony residents in four community reentry centers located in Nampa, Boise and Idaho Falls. These facilities house court-retained jurisdictional residents together with residents preparing to parole from state prisons.
Mission and Purpose
Community reentry centers are residential facilities that serve two main purposes. First, they allow residents to work while becoming reunited with families and the community. The centers offer selected residents, who are nearing release, a chance to prepare themselves for release. Second, they provide protection to the community through high accountability and security of the residents in the community reentry center program.
