On September 15, 2018, ten residents of the Nampa Community Reentry Center (NCRC) participated in the Boise River Sweep community service project. Offenders Salvador Adame, Sean Andreas, Beau Faught, Michael Geesen, Joshua Johnson, Lyle Metcalf, John Muguira, Joseph Puga, Cullen Sims and David West volunteered to help improve our community by cleaning up several locations on the Snake and Boise Rivers.

The NCRC crew met the Idaho Department of Fish and Game staff at Centennial Park in Caldwell to obtain trash bags. Afterwards, they drove to the mouth of the Boise River where it flows into the Snake River and worked their way upstream cleaning up and around several bridges and sportsman's access points. September 2018 marks the eleventh year that Nampa residents and staff have participated in the Boise River Sweep.
