Clifford
By Moira Lynch, Manager, Probation & Parole District 4

Karen graduated from Boise State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  While at BSU, she was an intern with D4 Probation and Parole and immediately felt like she found the career for her.

Karen started her career with the Commission of Pardons and Parole and jumped ship to IDOC in 2008 when she became a probation and parole officer. During her tenure, she has supervised sex offenders, re-entry, and general caseloads.

Karen has had a passion for both FTO and PTO for most of her career – being keenly interested in the development of new staff.  Karen is the PTO program supervisor and has been instrumental in developing and reshaping that program over the last few years.

Karen promoted to section supervisor in 2016 and has supervised the sex offender unit since that time.  Karen has a well-rounded employment history in several areas that lends to an expansive breadth of experience and knowledge that will serve us well.

Please take the time to reach out and congratulate Karen directly on her accomplishment.

And…the rest of the story is to come….as Karen has a long career ahead of her – I know she will make a difference in many lives!!
