By Tony Campa, Manager, Probation and Parole District 6

District 6 had a very positive visit today with the Regional Directors of Senators: Crapo, Risch, and Congressman Simpson.

DM gave a 2 hour presentation today on our Crossroads Program and our partnerships with our Community Allies.

Explained our one stop shop concept of having Community Providers assisting us with our Intake process getting offenders right out of Prison or placed on probation the services available to them.

Also District 6 invited Sandy Jones, Director of Commission of Pardons and Parole and Jarod Cash, Commission of Pardons and Parole and hosted a meeting with The District 6 Judges.

The Congressional representatives expressed their thanks for sharing the Crossroads program with them.

They found it very educational and it spurred some discussion about touring the women’s prison to learn more about that facility and their procedures.

The Representatives are planning on sitting in on a District 6- Crossroads meeting in the future.
