D-3’s blessing box helps client start job on the right foot

client holds boots
By Cory Barrier, Manager, Probation & Parole District 3

Feel good story of the day!  District 3 Sr. Probation and Parole Officer Rob Reynolds has been one of several individuals instrumental in establishing the “Blessings Box” at the Caldwell P&P office where clients can obtain emergency food and hygiene items.

The box is located in the lobby where anyone who has a need can access items to get them by.

This program is sponsored by individual community members, organizations and local businesses – the response and support has been great!

Officer Reynolds was working with a client who had a job opportunity scheduled to start the next day but lacked the proper steel toed boots required to begin his employment.

Based on a generous cash donation from Stuart’s Bar and Grill in Caldwell, Officer Reynolds was able to make a quick trip to the store and pick up a new pair of boots and help Jeremy get off on the right foot with his new job!

Thank you to the many donors and staff who give life to such a worthwhile program!
