Director Kempf: "Our hearts are heavy today"

The director of the Idaho Department of Correction, Kevin H. Kempf, has issued this statement regarding the death of Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore who died as the result of injuries he suffered in the line of duty on Tuesday, May 5, 2015
 
“Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of Sgt. Greg Moore.

"Many members of IDOC’s District 1 Probation and Parole Division based in Coeur d’Alene worked with Sgt. Moore. They will remember him as a dedicated professional who truly cared about his community. They will remember his willingness to help others and his devotion to his family.
 
“We all owe a debt of gratitude to Sgt. Moore. Because of brave men and women like him, the people of the state of Idaho are able to sleep safely in their homes at night. 
 
"The Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation has established a charitable fund to benefit Sgt. Moore’ wife, Lindy, and their two children. If you can afford to do so, I hope you will support them during this difficult time."
