District 6 Probation & Parole Promotions

New section supervisors
Jimmie Gentry, District Manager, District 6 Probation & Parole

Please join me in congratulating Chris Anderson and Lance Lewis as Section Supervisors in District 6  

Chris started his career with IDOC in 2003 as a Correctional Officer. He began at IMSI and transferred to PWCC where he was promoted to Correctional Sergeant in 2006. Chris served in the role of sergeant until he transferred to District 6 as a Probation Officer in 2014. In 2017, he promoted to Lead Probation Officer. During his career with IDOC, Chris has served as an instructor, FTO, PTO, CERT Operator and Assistant Commander. Chris and his wife Brittney have four daughters that keep them busy with all sorts of activities. Chris enjoys outdoor activities, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  

Lance started his career with IDOC also in 2003 as a Correctional Officer at PWCC. He was an operator for the CERT team for over ten years. He promoted to corporal at PWCC in 2007. In 2008, he transferred to District 7 Probation and Parole as a PO. He worked in the Blackfoot satellite office and was the Drug Court officer from 2009-2011. In 2011, Lance transferred to District 6 and worked the Soda Springs satellite office. He came to the Pocatello office in 2013 and has worked a multitude of caseloads. Lance is a firearms, weapons retention, arrest techniques, ground control, and ARCON instructor. He has been an FTO and PTO. Lance promoted to Lead Probation Officer in 2017. Lance and his wife Aubrey have 1 girl and 1 boy. They enjoy the outdoors, hunting and being together with extended family.
