The Phoenix is a non-profit organization that fosters a positive, sober environment for its participants based in fitness and physical activity.

The activities are free for anyone, with the only requirement for membership being 48 hours of continuous sobriety.

We have been able to join forces with The Phoenix to get our population connected with them prior to their release to help these women have a safe place to go after their release and be around people dedicated to sobriety and wellness.

There are currently only 6 chapters nationwide and we are very fortunate to have a Chapter here in Boise.

Being at the ReEntry Center gives us a unique opportunity to think outside the box for ways to help the women to work towards long-term change and wellness.   Getting the women introduced and integrated into the Phoenix community while they are still at the Center will hopefully give them a better chance at long-term sobriety.

I was able to work out with the women and we all had a great time!

This has been a year in the making to get this partnership developed and implemented and we are very excited for the opportunity and the welcoming spirit of The Phoenix staff and participants.
