Idaho Department of Correction Director Brent Reinke has named Pat Donaldson chief of the department's Management Services Division.

Donaldson has worked for IDOC for 16 years. He has served as the department's construction supervisor, facility services manager and, most recently, deputy chief of Contract Services.

"Pat is a dedicated professional who knows how to lead people and manage complicated projects," Reinke said. "He is respected by his peers and will help the department meet the challenges it faces beyond the Management Services Division."

Donaldson was born and raised in Emmett and received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Idaho. After graduation, he went to work for Morrison-Knudsen Corporation's Heavy Civil Construction Division.

During his 15 years with MK, Donaldson traveled around the United States and worked on multi-million dollar projects including a hydroelectric powerhouse in Georgia, light rail systems in California and Oregon, and the E470 Freeway in Colorado.

IDOC's Management Services Division supports the department's mission by providing budget and payroll management, research and analysis, information technology, and fiscal services. The division also administers IDOC's grants and contracts, offender records, dietary services, capital construction projects, contract facility monitoring and offender placement.
