BOISE, March 8, 2012 - An Idaho Department of Correction inmate who walked away from an inmate work crew two months ago in Nampa is back in custody.

Curtis Engman, IDOC #60937 (DOB: 1/17/1963), was arrested at 4:15 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of 21st Avenue South in Nampa by IDOC’s Fugitive Recovery Unit, the Nampa Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service. Engman was located as the result of an ongoing investigation by IDOC’s Fugitive Recovery Unit.

Engman disappeared on January 10 while installing office cubicles at the Nampa Police Station. At the time of his escape, Engman was assigned to the South Idaho Correctional Institution. He was serving a five to 15 year sentence for a conviction of trafficking by manufacturing in Canyon County and had three years remaining on his sentence.

Engman now faces the possibility of an additional five years for escape.
