Windstorm affects operations at 2 Idaho prisons

OROFINO, November 16, 2010 - A windstorm that blew through north central Idaho has affected operations at North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood and Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino.

The storm downed power lines and blew trees and branches into buildings. Both facilities are secure and all staff and offenders are safe, but operations will be limited until electrical service is restored.
