Inmate Antone Chacartegui shows off his talent of creating furniture from pallet wood.

Like all Idaho Department of Correction prisons, when deliveries are made many of the pallets pile up.

Headed up by Special Projects Sergeant Mike Curtis, combining some great ideas he saw on the internet, and adding Chacartegui’s woodworking talent, ICIO benefited.

Chacartegui’s latest project was building furniture for the newly remodeled staff lounge.

Chacartegui had not done carpentry work prior to incarceration. He honed his talent while at Givens Hall.
