Idaho prisoners earning GEDs: ‘We’re showing people there’s a different way’

KUNA, Idaho (CBS 2) — Inmates at the Idaho State Correctional Institution are getting a second chance to earn a high school diploma, or more specifically a GED.

"Through education, through increased opportunities, we're showing people there's a different way," said Josh Tewalt, Director of the Idaho Department of Correction. "For some people, being in that element, being involved in the criminal justice system is all they know."
