An Idaho Department of Correction analyst has been recognized for her efforts to promote transparency and help the public understand the department’s operations.

The Association of Government Accountants has awarded Principal Research Analyst Victoria Wilson the 2020 Certificate of Excellence in Citizen-Centric Reporting. The AGA said Wilson’s “Citizen-Centric Report FY20” reflected her “commitment to good government and responsible fiscal action.”

The AGA awards Certificates of Excellence to government agencies, professionals, and students to encourage the production of Citizen-Centric reports -- four-page, visually appealing documents that describe the services government agencies provide and show how those services are funded. The AGA says since 2007, more than 400 Citizen-Centric reports have been produced.

“We seek to be a transparent department, and we are proud of our many dedicated staff members like Victoria who strive to be responsive to the needs of Idaho citizens,” says Idaho Department of Correction Director Josh Tewalt.
