Last Tuesday, February 6th, the IDOC education staff made a presentation to the Senate Education Committee, with Ashley and Ross in attendance.

The presentation focused on the role the Education program plays within the IDOC to prepare inmates for success upon release.

Correctional Education is a fundamental piece in rehabilitative programming and proven to result in a 12% reduction in recidivism by Idaho inmates.

Certified IDOC teachers deliver academic, vocational and PreRelease training, improving employment outcomes for offenders returning to their communities.
