The Idaho Department of Correction is hiring correctional officers to work at its correctional facility in Orofino, Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino.

If you're at least 21 years old and interested in a job through which you can truly make a difference, plan on attending one of two career fairs sponsored the department. You'll meet recruiters and correctional officers who can answer your questions about this challenging, rewarding field. 

The career fairs will be held:

Tuesday, Nov. 5
12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

The career fairs will feature an expedited application process. You can meet with a recruiter, complete an application and, if qualified, be scheduled for a job interview as soon as the next day. 

IDOC correctional officers receive competitive benefits at a starting rate of $13.14 an hour, with an increase to $13.92 after successful completion of entrance probation.
