IDOC hiring officers in northern Idaho

The Idaho Department of Correction is hiring correctional officers to work at its correctional facilities in Orofino and Cottonwood.

If you’re at least 21 years old and interested in a job through which you can truly make a difference, plan on attending one of four career fairs sponsored by the department. They will be held in Grangeville, Orofino, Lewiston and Post Falls.  

Here are the locations and the schedule for the career fairs:

Grangeville
Tuesday, Jan. 13
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Idaho Department of Labor office
305 N State St.

Post Falls
Wednesday, Jan. 14
10 a.m. to noon
600 N Thornton St.

Orofino
Wednesday, Jan. 14
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Idaho Department of Labor office
410 Johnson Ave.

Lewiston
Wednesday, Jan. 14
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Idaho Department of Labor office
1158 Idaho St.

Download the background investigation questionnaire from the careers section of the department’s website at www.idoc.idaho.gov and bring the completed questionnaire with you to the career fair.

Applicants who bring a completed background investigation questionnaire could be offered a conditional job offer at the event.

IDOC correctional officers receive competitive benefits at a starting rate of $13.27 an hour, with an increase to $14.05 after successful completion of entrance probation.
