IDOC inmates help Idaho communities with snow removal

Idaho Department of Correction inmate crews have been busy helping the people of Idaho cope with winter weather. 

In Idaho City, a dozen South Idaho Correctional Institution inmates shoveled snow off the sheriff’s office, schools and some of the town’s historic buildings.  The inmates also cleared the sand filter for the town’s water system.

In and around Weiser, two inmate crews from SICI cleared snow from roofs and from around fire hydrants and drains.

In and around Bonners Ferry, a 20-man crew from Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino has removed snow from city and county buildings.
