IDOC investigates apparent inmate suicide

The Idaho Department of Correction is investigating the apparent suicide of an Idaho Maximum Security Institution inmate.                                                    

Clifford Daniel Singer, 69, was pronounced dead at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at a Boise hospital. 

A correctional officer found Singer hanging in his cell at 9:18 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.

Per IDOC policy regarding unattended inmate deaths in the South Boise Correctional Complex, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding Singer’s death.
