Idaho State Correctional Center held the facility’s first inmate knowledge bowl on Dec. 30, 2019 and the event was a great success.

Seventeen four-man teams signed up to compete and each housing unit hosted a semi-final with six winning teams advancing to the final in categories ranging from current events to various subjects such as mathematics.

Electrical instructor Green designed and developed the game hardware and Teacher Assistant Morton wrote the jeopardy gaming program and developed the technology platform used for tracking the category point values earned by teams so it was patterned after the TV game.

The competition came down to the final question with team B Block bringing home first place, and F Block finished second.
