ISCI inmate dies of apparent suicide

BOISE, Feb. 2, 2017 — At the request of the Idaho Department of Correction, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent suicide of an Idaho State Correctional Institution inmate.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, Zachery Ryan Williams appears to have attempted suicide by hanging. Staff initiated lifesaving measures and called 911. Ada County Paramedics rushed Williams to a Boise hospital.  He was declared dead this morning at 12:26 a.m.

ISCI is a 1,446-bed, medium-security prison for men south of Boise.
