ISCI’s Laura Watson recognized as one of Idaho’s “Accomplished Under 40”
The Idaho Business Review has honored Idaho State Correctional Institution clinical supervisor Laura Watson through its 2020 Accomplished Under 40 awards program.
The program honors 40 Idaho business and professional leaders who have achieved success before the age of 40.
As a clinical supervisor, Laura supervises clinicians, psychiatric treatment coordinators and psychiatric technicians at ISCI.
Here’s what IDOC’s chief psychologist, Dr. Walter Campbell, had to about Laura:
“Laura has been an outstanding clinical supervisor in a particularly challenging environment. She is responsible for mental health services in the male Behavioral Health Unit, where many of our inmates with significant mental and behavioral health challenges are housed. She and her team provide wonderful mental health services to this population in a very complex and difficult environment. Thanks to her team’s tireless efforts and the support of facility’s leadership, correctional officers, and medical staff, her clients are housed in a safe and therapeutic environment that received consistent high marks from national accreditation reviews. All of us at IDOC are delighted to see her recognized in this way, this honor is richly deserved.”
