District 2 awarded PPO Kelsi Banta with Employee of the Quarter April 2018.

Kelsi is a Probation Parole Officer in our Moscow Satellite Office. She is our Drug Court Officer as well as manages a Sex Offender caseload.

Kelsi consistently goes the extra mile for her offenders and for the department.  Both Judge Stegner and Bill Thompson Latah County Prosecutor stated they find Kelsi’s professionalism and demeanor in court reflective of the IDOC mission and values we are striving for.

Kelsi is a member of the Morale Task Force and every month she finds ways to engage staff to work together or build camaraderie.  Kelsi always has a positive attitude and points out the strengths of others to help encourage them as they develop their own skillsets.

In addition to her PPO job responsibilities, Kelsi works with Moscow Public safety nights with MPD and Misdemeanor Probation during the summer time community events, she is also an active participant for the Latah Recovery Center volunteering her time for their special projects throughout the year, attends their substance awareness trainings and meetings and she is our only SCOAP officer in Moscow working with MPD to train new officers on SCOAP partnerships and field work.

Kelsi has worked very hard and we are very proud of her.  Please take a moment to celebrate with her and to congratulate her on a well-deserved Employee of the Quarter Award.
