Nampa CRC participates in “Adopt a Highway Project”

Twice a year, usually in early spring and late summer, Officer Castaneda along with about ten N-CRC Offenders, walk along and clean up a three mile stretch of Highway in Nampa.

They start at the intersection of Ustick and Franklin roads  all the way to Star and Ustick roads.

The Highway Project mainly consist of trash pickup. However; increasingly they are finding more and more used syringes, tobacco products, other drug paraphernalia and a wide variety of different items that they safely remove from that stretch of highway.

It’s often unnoticed by the community but is very much appreciated by the Nampa Highway District staff nearby homeowners and schools.

Nampa CRC offenders have the opportunity to help cleanup and beatify this portion of Nampa while also getting out of the facility for a while.

All of them take great pride knowing they’re giving back to the Nampa Community.

All staff at the N-CRC are glad to be part of this great project.
