NICI education volunteer honored as “Brightest Star”

Wednesday, January 17th, Serve Idaho held the 2018 Idaho’s Brightest Star Awards Ceremony at BSU.  

There were 7 different volunteer categories – Business, Nonprofit/Public Organization/Teacher/Professor, Veteran, Student, Individual 55+ and Individual.  

Bette Stone, a NICI education volunteer, was nominated in the Individual 55+ category, by far the largest category with 34 nominees.

She won!

Serve Idaho, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, is a division of the Idaho Department of Labor and encourages volunteerism and community service throughout Idaho.

The Idaho Brightest Star Awards Program recognizes Idaho’s unsung heroes who volunteer on behalf of children and families.
