Inmates place crosses
By Warden Amanda Gentry, Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center

For the 15th year Idaho Field of Heroes was constructed to honor Americans who have died during war.

6,966 crosses were placed in the grass here in Pocatello, 96 of those crosses have a connection here in Idaho.

Cpl. Blair a veteran himself took a group of inmates who volunteered to help set up and take down the crosses.

It takes nearly 3,000 man hours to completely construct the field, most of which is performed by community members and the women of Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.
