The annual “Ironman 70.3” triathlon will close the main route to the South Boise Correctional Complex this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Pleasant Valley Road between Gowen Road and Ten-Mile Creek Road is part of the bike-riding portion of the race.

If you want to get to or from the South Boise Correctional Complex during this four-hour period, you have two options.

The I-84/Blacks Creek Option

  • Take I-84 to Exit 64, the Blacks Creek exit, east of Boise.
  • Turn right.  It doesn’t matter which direction you’re coming from. Because of the way the overpass is configured, you must turn right to get on Kuna-Mora Road.
  • Take Kuna-Mora Road all the way to Pleasant Valley Road.
  • Turn right on Pleasant Valley Road to the South Boise Correctional Complex.
