Books donated to SBWCC by Senator James E. Risch

On May 28, three staff members from the office of U.S. Senator James E. Risch delivered three boxes of books to the South Boise Women’s Correctional Center for use in the facility’s library.

The books come from the Library of Congress’ Surplus Books Program, through which lawmakers are able to donate surplus books to schools, government agencies and non-profit organizations.

Board of Correction Secretary Cindy Wilson was on hand to help receive the donation.

After the books were delivered, Brandon Phillips, SBWCC’s program manager gave Wilson and Senator Risch’s staff members a tour of the facility.
