SICI implements new mentor program

Residents speaks to other residents for mock orientation
By Noelle Quong, Correctional Case Manager, South Idaho Correctional Institution

South Idaho Correctional Institution, and the case management team, are excited to implement a newly formed mentor program.

Male residents gathered to present a “mock orientation” for staff; this orientation will eventually be offered to all new resident arrivals on the men’s side.

This staff supervised/resident led program will help new residents adjust to the unique living environment present at a minimum custody facility.

Them working towards creating a more welcoming and adaptable environment at SICI is appreciated by SICI staff.
