Effective Wednesday September 12, 2018 the Treasure Valley Reentry Center will start having “Homework Club” in the visiting area of TVCRC.

Homework club will be held every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Check in time will start at 5:30 p.m. but visitors are allowed to enter anytime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Homework Club is an opportunity for TVCRC residents to have a scheduled time that their children can come to the facility and do homework with them.

This is open for children age 0-18.

Children must be an approved visitor and brought to the facility by an approved visitor.

Only one adult visitor will be allowed to accompany the children during this time.

Your child will be allowed to bring educational material needed to complete their work into the visiting area during this time. Musical instruments will be allowed if your child is in classes that require them.

Some schools have gone away from traditional homework being assigned each day so educational material/arts will be provided for this in the event your child does not have any assigned homework from their school for that week.

Visiting rules will apply for this however this is not a traditional visiting session. Late arrival will be allowed and early release will be allowed.

You are welcome to come anytime during the scheduled period.

The purpose of this is for the TVCRC residents to have an opportunity to assist in completing homework with their child/as a family along with learning and understanding what they are doing in school.

This is an opportunity for all to build relationships and be involved. Additionally, this is an opportunity for the residents to provide support to their child as they grow and develop.

This is an opportunity for relationship building, family growth and will help prepare the residents and their families for transition from incarceration to release.

Please feel free to contact the TVCRC directly if you have any questions.
