TVCRC residents get gardening lesson

instructor stands before class
By Collin Young, Correctional Case Manager, Treasure Valley Community Reentry Center

Kim Duke from the Fairview Zamzows came out to our facility on her own time to teach our population about gardening.

It was a wealth of incredible knowledge. She was an amazing speaker, passionate about gardening, and super knowledgeable.

Many of the men in our population reported to me that it was one of the most informative speakers they have ever had the pleasure of learning from.

Now our population is equipped with the knowledge and tools to grow an amazing garden.

She instilled a great knowledge base and passion for gardening that will serve our population, work center, and community well; as Gardening is an excellent, pro-social, healthy, positive activity.
