The five prisons operated by the Idaho Department of Correction south of Boise remain on secure status, with portions of Idaho Maximum Security Institution and Idaho State Correctional Center on lock down.

Visiting remains suspended. Phone service remains suspended for inmates in the locked-down housing units.

Normal operations continue for CAPP and the Treasure Valley Community Reentry Center.

Investigators continue to gather information about the Thursday disturbance at IMSI and the Friday disturbance at ISCC.

“We know this is a difficult time for everyone -- inmates, staff and the families of our inmates and staff,” says Ashley Dowell, chief of IDOC’s Division of Prisons. “We will return to normal operations as soon as possible, but safety must be our absolute top priority.”
