The MHC team includes Judge Mitchell and his law clerk, Region 1 Behavioral Health, Sequel Alliance Family services, District 1 Probation & Parole, Kootenai County sheriff’s office, and their public defender.
The goal of their visits to the NICI & ICI-O is to observe the Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions groups developed by the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute and how they are working for the offenders the court sends on a Rider.
