Residents of the Nampa Community Reentry Center (CRC) have made excellent use of their downtime during the Covid-19 Pandemic, as IDOC Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Bret Kimmel discovered during a recent visit to the Nampa CRC.
While unemployed due to the impact of Covid-19, residents went to work making improvements to the grounds.
Bret was especially impressed by the picnic tables they had built, and asked if the residents would be willing to donate their time to build picnic tables for the IDOC staff gun range on the South Boise Correctional Complex.
A number of residents are unable to return to work any time soon, so there were plenty of volunteers for the task.
Once IDOC had purchased and arranged delivery of the materials, Nampa CRC managed to build sixteen brand new picnic tables for the range in just three days!
Great work, Nampa!
