The Resident Peer Mentor program graduation at ISCC brought together residents, their families, staff, and partners for an evening that celebrated our shared commitment to personal growth and giving back in ways that strengthen and uplift those around us.

Resident peer mentorship encourages residents to strive for self-improvement while supporting others on the same journey. It recognizes that through their lived experiences, residents have the insight and tools to guide and mentor others in their quest for personal growth.

The graduation offered an opportunity to put these lessons into practice—choosing growth, strengthening relationships, and building deeper connections with loved ones. It highlighted what’s possible when individuals commit to personal development and use their experiences to give back, positively impacting their community both inside and outside prison walls.

Congratulations to 11 residents, two staff, and one community partner on completing this training!
