Oct. 16 -- The Idaho Department of Correction served Idaho Maximum Security Institution resident Thomas Eugene Creech, IDOC #14984, with a death warrant at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. 

The warrant, issued by Fourth Judicial District Judge Jason Scott, schedules Mr. Creech’s execution for Nov. 13, 2024, at 10 AM MST.

Per IDOC policy, immediately after being presented with the death warrant, Mr. Creech was moved to a cell in Idaho Maximum Security Institution’s F-block, where the execution will take place.

In accordance with Idaho Code § 19-2716(2), Director Tewalt will file an affidavit certifying that execution by lethal injection as described in Idaho Code § 19-2716(1)(a) is available in this matter. The Department has procured the chemicals necessary to carry out an execution by lethal injection.

Due to ongoing litigation, IDOC will have no further comment on the matter at this time.
