About the Board

A three-member board appointed by the governor oversees the Idaho Department of Correction. Board of Correction members are appointed to six-year terms.

Chairman

Debbie Field was appointed to the board on January 15, 2015 and will serve the remaining term of retiring member Robin Sandy. Field served in the Idaho House of Representatives for 12 years, representing Boise's District 18. She was Chair of the House Judiciary and Rules Committee where she worked to ensure improvements in Idaho's drug and mental health courts.  Field has also served as a board member for the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections, Administrator of the Idaho Office of Drug Policy, and Chair of the Interagency Committee on Substance Abuse, Prevention and Treatment.

Vice Chairman

Dr. David McClusky was appointed to the board in January 2013 by Governor Otter. He is a Twin Falls native who earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Idaho, and his medical degree at Northwestern University. He is an Air Force veteran who has been active in civic and charitable organizations in the Twin Falls area. McClusky's term expires in 2019.

Secretary

Cindy Wilson was appointed to the board on March 18, 2015. Wilson is a long-time high school American government teacher who lives in Meridian and teaches at Capital High School in Boise. She has been involved in the Idaho Law Foundation, the YMCA Youth Government Committee, and the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights Education Board. Her term expires in 2021.

Contact the Board at board@idoc.idaho.gov. Please do not submit parole information to the Board of Correction. A separate agency, the Idaho Commission for Pardons and Parole, manages those requests.
