Requirements
- New volunteers are required to complete the IDOC Volunteer Training prior to volunteering. However, if you choose, you may attend a training before your application is submitted and approved for expediency.
- Those who wish to continue volunteering are required to complete the IDOC Volunteer Training each calendar year. This will satisfy the required “refresher” training and PREA orientation.
- New Volunteers: Once you complete the IDOC Volunteer Training, contact the facility VSC to find out when your facility orientation is scheduled.

You may attend any session in any location that is most convenient for you but please enroll in the session.
