Two-thousand cloth masks arrived at Eagle Pass Correctional Facility in Eagle Pass, Texas, last week.

The masks were made by men and women incarcerated in correctional facilities in Idaho.

Due to a shortage of beds in Idaho, 610 Idaho men are incarcerated in Eagle Pass.

“Just glad we were able to help provide protection to our Idahoans out of state,” says Ross Castleton, a deputy warden in IDOC’s Division of Prison and overseeing the mask-making effort. “It’s important to know they are safe, and we have done something to help.”

A big thank you to all the men and women here in Idaho who worked so hard to make the masks -- and to the countless citizens and IDOC staff members who donated masks and mask-making material.

Here’s information about how you can help.
