Execution Chamber

In compliance with House Bill 37, which designates execution by firing squad as Idaho’s primary method of execution beginning July 1, 2026, the Idaho Department of Correction is retrofitting the execution unit in F‑Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Once construction is complete, photographs of the updated chamber will be made available on this page.
