In compliance with House Bill 37, which designates execution by firing squad as Idaho’s primary method of execution beginning July 1, 2026, the Idaho Department of Correction has retrofitted the execution unit in F‑Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Updated photos of the execution chamber can be found below.
