Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) department provides technology-based tools, services, and support to the entire Department of Correction. It ensures the services provided are in accordance with the agency's mission and vision by following the priorities set by departmental leadership. The IT department is composed of two separate functional units.
Applications
The Applications team consists of systems, infrastructure, database, and software engineers.
This team is tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of all technology, making certain the agency's applications, network, servers, and other infrastructure operate correctly and efficiently.
These experts offer technical support, oversee system updates, maintain software and agency applications, and implement strategies to safeguard agency data.
Business Engagement (BE)
The Business Engagement (BE) team consists of IT System Specialists whose primary focus is to support all business areas within IDOC by ensuring the effective use and functionality of agency applications.
The team is responsible for addressing system issues and evaluating requests for new and enhanced system functionalities to ensure they meet quality standards and align with business requirements.
Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT, the Business Engagement team helps optimize application performance, improve user experience, and contribute to the overall success of IDOC's strategic objectives.
