IDOC investigates apparent suicide at ISCC

May 8 -- The Idaho Department of Correction is investigating an apparent suicide at Idaho State Correctional Center.
Security staff saw the resident in distress in a housing unit shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. Staff responded immediately and called 911.
Paramedics and Ada County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the facility. The resident was pronounced dead at 7:42 a.m. Monday.
Idaho State Correctional Center is a 2,136-bed correctional facility for men south of Boise.
