Over the past four months, many Idaho Department of Correction staff members have quietly been going the extra mile to help respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of those staff members is ISCC Sgt. Dustin Trumbull. 

When ISCC Warden Jay Christensen heard that Dustin has cancelled his vacation so he can help his colleagues, Jay sent Dustin this email: 

Dustin,  I heard today that you have voluntarily postponed your vacation in order to cover shifts that we have not been able to cover in the shift command area. I know you did this as a sense of duty, and I want you to know how much it is appreciated (but not expected). You have always been one everyone can count on!

Once we get the vacant positions filled, we will be revisiting you for some alternate vacation plans, I’ll even throw in some juice cards. ;o)
