When life gives you lemonade… create award-winning technical education programs.

Two years ago, COVID-19 forced the suspension of in-person classes at Idaho State Correctional Institution. But instructors and residents persevered by broadcasting classes on ISCI’s internal TV channel.

What was born out of necessity has become two thriving technical education programs. Residents at ISCI and South Idaho Correctional Institution can now learn video production skills, which will improve their chances of getting jobs after they are released.

The State of Idaho’s Career and Technical Education Department recently recognized the programs with CTE’s 2022 Postsecondary Exemplary Program Award.
